This fascinating series presented by Brendan O’Mahoney features some of Britain’s best-known gangsters talking about their experiences in the underworld. A particular highlight is William Lobban, author of The Glasgow Curse (published by Birlinn Press) discussing the intricate web of events that led to his association and subsequent falling out with Paul Ferris. Ferris is the notorious Scottish criminal accused of murdering the son of a ruthless crime boss, Arthur Thompson.
The Wee Man, a film about Ferris’s life was released in 2013.
William Lobban is a skilled narrator and his own life story is well worth reading. Read our review of The Glasgow Curse here.
