Human identity in a shifting world
Nothing is fixed or absolute anymore. Human beings have deep-seated insecurities on a global scale. A never ending conflict between East and West – economic uncertainty that is pervasive and ongoing. Sexual, cultural and national boundaries that are unravelling at an unprecedented speed, and climate changes that threaten the survival of the planet as we know it.
How do you as a writer make sense of these events, how do you navigate the human landscape, and how does your use of language examine and reshape your experience of reality? We welcome all approaches to these questions – humourous, serious, philosophical, mind-bending, poetical, lyrical, or deadly.
